Geneva Photo Journal

Switzerland had long been on my bucket list. We flew into Zurich and took a train down to Geneva the next day. Though it whizzed by quickly, Zurich was wonderful. It’s a place I’d return to again. I found Geneva pretty easy to stay well in. There was an organic grocery store not far from our hotel with kombucha and other goodies. We stayed at the Hotel Bernina which was lovely. This was late in our two week trip so we splurged a bit for the junior suite, it was worth it. The space it offered allowed us to spread out and for me to work while I was there. It was also very close to the train station and airport which made for easy transportation and less stress on the body.

We found two great places to get an almond Matcha latte — Café Calico and The Barista Lab. Both were really lovely. Café Calico’s matcha was solid, the staff were fantastic and there was seating so we could sit and relax. The matcha was a touch better at The Barista Lab though it was crowded and long wait. We stumbled onto wonderful brunch placed called White Rabbit that was delicious (and had a fabulous interior great for selfies). I understand why they call it a magical place for brunch. I had fish for dinner the first night at a fancy restaurant and the second night at a Japanese restaurant. We had an early morning flight out so on our last night we grabbed shawarma from around the corner. We tucked into bed early, ready for an early flight to Berlin where I was attending a conference.

Overall, I found it pretty easy to stay well in Geneva, despite it being two weeks into a long European trip which is usually too much for my body.

Here’s my photo diary focused on how I stayed well in Geneva.
